Lice can be really annoying. At my old school everyone got nervous when it came to head checks and it’s kinda embarrassing, if you’re the kid with lice even though they try to keep this information private, everyone knows, somehow. When I got lice I could barely stop scratching my head and didn’t want to meet with any of my friends. When my mom treated my hair with shampoo and a comb-out I thought that was it. But she had to keep checking every day for nits and lice, as the lice were apparently not done with me. It’s annoying how you think all the lice are gone after a treatment but there’s probably still more. I learned that a single louse can lay so many eggs which are called nits. That is why if you miss just one louse will lead to more lice. I got lice when I was 8 years old and I’m now twelve and I want all kids to know NOT to be embarrassed and on the flip side NOT to tease classmates about it.
